My Dad is a metal fabricator who built my first goal. He built it so stout that it would never bend or break. His company builds parts for John Deere and Caterpillar, so you'd better believe he knows the true meaning of heavy duty. So when it came time for me to buy a goal for my kids, I wouldn't settle for the store brand goals that are in the driveways of all the other homes on my street. My research led me to believe that MegaSlam was the only goal for me. It had the best specs on the market all for a price that was cheaper than the lesser competition. Also, with all stainless hardware coming standard, I knew that this was going to be built to last.

My confirmation first came through watching the poor delivery guy unloading the shipment. That guy handles heavy stuff all day, and he had trouble figuring out how to get it off of the truck. I wish I would have recorded it! When it came time to assemble the goal, my Dad was in town to help. He was blown away by how stout MegaSlam builds their products. We went with the 60" model, which was extremely easy to assemble, with the exception of the weight. Make sure you have plenty of strong people for lifting the backboard into place. It took four for us to do it safely, and we do this kind of stuff all the time.

So here's the scoop: Every little kid on the street with a basketball hoop wants to come down to our place to dunk, because their name brand hoops only go down to 7 1/2 feet. The ability to lower ours down to 5' is a game changer for the littles. As for the bigs, I weigh 240 lbs and was dunking and hanging on the rim, and the goal barely budged. I couldn't believe it! This was a great purchase. I'd be surprised if I don't see at least 5 more families on my street with MegaSlam goals out front in the near future.

Very nice hoop! the instructions need a bit of an upgrade as they are a bit hard to decipher. Other than that great hoop. Plenty of adjustments from the base to the goal!
