My neighbor put up a Gorilla hoop and I didn't really like the look of it, nor did I want to seem like I was copying him...I just knew I wanted a pro quality hoop. This thing was worth every penny. It looks fantastic, it's as solid as any gym board and it's just one of the few things that gives you you every time it's used. I paid to have someone install it and I am glad I did, it took two guys and a bit of experience for them to get it perfect. I'd highly recommend a paid installer. enjoy!

I spent a good amount of time researching in-ground basketball standards. I wanted a high quality hoop that would withstand the elements and abuse that I knew it would get. Based on what I read and saw, I concluded that the Megaslam XL appeared to be the best choice out there. My experiences buying products over the internet has sometimes been hit and miss, but I felt pretty confident with the MegaSlam Hoops site and reviews. I took the leap, ordered with just a little skepticism and WHA LA, it came as promised and was even better than expected!!!! After install, my Son and Grandsons came over to see and play and could not believe how "just like the pros" it looked and how well it performed. I have always wanted a hoop at my home. Am an older guy and wants to go out and shoot a few to keep in shape. We have two sons and two grand sons who visit and love to play in the driveway. I looked around the neighborhood and saw most of the goals were Mega Slams. Yes, it costs more than the big box set ups, but the quality is there. The boys like the adjustable height feature so the younger one can compete. I expect our Mega Slam to last a long time.
