I ordered the hoop after doing a lot of online research, particularly comparing the hoop with the Gorilla and Pro Dunk systems. This hoop appeared to be more sturdy and of better quality than both of those units. I also went to check out the Gorilla system at a local dealer. While it was a nice system, I still felt that the Megaslam system was of better quality in the online description and after speaking with the customer service. I’m pleased to say that, so far, I believe I made the right decision. It is a very sturdy and quality hoop, which I expect will hold up well over time. The installation takes time and lots of help, but it is not overly complicated.

I am not one to write reviews on products I purchase , but this hoop far exceeded by expectations in performance !! Most of my friends suggested I purchase a Goal Rilla hoop, but after they had seen mine they’re all jealous they didn’t purchase the Mega Hoop! This system is super professional in every way ! The base is super strong , you can throw a ball your hardest at the backboard , and the system will barely shake ! My son and his friends all hang on the hoop together and again , no shakes !!! I couldn’t be happier for the purchase I made ! I strongly suggest this unit than any other out there !

I rarely do reviews but I wanted to give a review to Mega Slam. After a lengthy process of researching so many companies and products I decided to go with Mega Slam XL. Of course I would end up selecting the most expensive system that Mega Slam sells but I am so glad I did. From start to finish, the entire process from getting my questions answered to the final installation has been nothing short of perfect. UPS delivered my XL in great shape and on time. The written installation instructions and video were very helpful. We followed them exactly as written except for one exception. When it came time to install the backboard (very heavy and a little awkward) I decided to improvise on the suggested instructions. I decided to back my pickup under the backboard arms and we set the backboard on the truck bed sides. The backboard was plenty long to reach from side to side. The truck bed took all the weight of the backboard. I just backed the backboard directly under the support arms. We then lowered the arms down to match up directly with the attachment point on the backboard. It went perfectly and with very little effort. When my son and I played our first game on the system we were both shocked at how sturdy and strong it was. The backboard didn't move at all. No vibration too! Even with very long shots that would rebound off the rim or backboard the entire system was rock solid. I couldn't be more pleased. The powder coat was great too. Living in a harsh winter environment will be the test this coming winter. I did lose my first game of horse to my son but was thrilled with the potential of all the time that we will spend with my kids and 22 grand kids! Thanks Mega Hoop for making our home a much more friendly place for our kids and grand kids to create memories with me.
