More time will tell regarding longevity, but I figured after a year I would submit my review. The Megaslam 54 still looks and operates like new. Much better than any of the other hoops I see around. Performance is awesome and I think this hoop is worth the price of admission. It's pretty cool to see my 4 year old lower down below 6' all by himself. My Megaslam 54 was installed up on a hill without much wind protection. This is part of the reason I went will the lower profile 54" (which is plenty big enough for our games). It's very stable even during storms. I went step-by-step with the installation using plenty of concrete to anchor. It's a well built hoop! Regarding installation, don't take the recommended man-power lightly. The glass is very heavy and awkward for three adults. Use four(+) as recommended!

This goal is as advertised. With 3 men and a few tools we had it installed in less than 3 hours. Looks great in the driveway and plays even better. All around a really great product.

I suffered from a foot injury when mine arrived as scheduled and on time. I hired my son and grandson to dig the hole and set mine up. Plenty of good youtube help for everything. Got good pics of teenage grandkids in the hole afterward for photo ops. We used 16 eighty pound bags (had Home Depot deliver it early) of sakrete and let it set the required 72hrs before install and had it ready by Christmas eve....The Plan Executed! I have four large adult grown sons and wanted to make sure I had a grownup system and no rollaway ugly systems. Megaslam does a professional packing job and we love the system. 54” Wished I had sprung the extr $$ for the 72” backboard now. But really happy with Megaslam....
