Our Megaslam 60” just survived the Cat 4 hurricane (by the time it got to us)! This thing is stout! We purchased about a year ago and I really wanted to wait until at least then to give an honest review. We’ve had full grown adults to teenagers to toddlers all play on the goal! This was by far one of the best investments I’ve ever made! My oldest son is a senior this year and plays basketball for his high school. Even his teammates were impressed at the quality of the goal! Highly recommended by our family of 6!! The neatest feature for us is that it lowers to 5’ so even our 3 year old gets his time to shoot! It is definitely as close to professional as you can buy. The goal does not wobble nor does the rim bounce around so you always get the true reaction with ball play! Not trying to get too lengthy but even the weather resistance is outstanding! We live in South Louisiana where anything outside is put to the test between the heat and humidity! I’d be glad to purchase another one but don’t believe it will ever be necessary. I’ll also add that just myself and my wife put it together. We placed the heavy backboard behind my truck and backed up to the frame for easier install. If anyone needs a video or more info I’d be glad to add in!

This is a product that is well made and truly heavy duty from every aspect. I would be prepared for the installation process. Mega slam has videos in their site. I would say for this hoop the 4’ cement plate and anchor system is the most critical. Installation is relatively straightforward and probably easier if you’re the hands on type.

We had to replace a system that the bolts were coming loose from the concrete and decided since our 6'1" basketball loving boy plays travel and school ball, that a stronger and sturdier hoop system was needed. This system has been fantastic for us. It was easy to install and since the cap is metal and part of the pole, we don't have to worry about rain running down into the concrete support and eroding it away. The mechanism to adjust the rim height is super easy to use and since we get lots of straight line winds - a must to be able to lower. Overall you can't go wrong with this system.
