I purchased the Megaslam 54'' with the upgraded hoop. It shipped quickly, and arrived in great condition. I opted to not use a contractor to install the goal, and while it's a lot of heavy lifting, the directions are fantastic so it's certainly doable. The goal and all of the ancillary components are clearly made with quality in mind. The main pole has welded end caps, and more support brackets at the base which will definitely increase it's durability. As a matter of fact last night the goal weathered Hurricane Zeta's 100mph winds with no problem. If you're going to spend the money on a higher end basketball goal that can't be found at the big box store, do your research, and buy a Megaslam.

I wanted to have a higher quality system that what I found at retail stores and I am not disappointed! Everything about this system is quality. The hardest part of the install was digging and concreting the 4’ hole for the anchor, the actual hoop was made simple by the easy to follow instructions. I was torn between the 54 and 60 backboard but glad I went with the 60. Upgrading from a portable, the true bounce of the backboard and rim is like a gym. Dunking and swinging gives very little sway which feels extremely safe. Looks amazing and people comment about how professional it looks. Well worth the extra few hundred $ to get this kind of quality. Highly recommended.
