I did a bit of research looking for the best goal I could put in my backyard and this one just seemed to blow away the competition. After finally getting this beast installed, I am very thankfully for the good people at megaslamhoops for making this thing. The system is incredibly heavy, but for good reason. The quality of this goal is way better than typical goals you find next to a driveway. There is really no shaking when the ball hits the backboard. The rim hides where the net is attached which looks amazing. The rim was perfectly level when it was attached to the backboard. The only problem was that the goal was incredibly heavy and I had to wait for group of guys to help me put it up, and now I’m sore from putting it up, so I will be recovering and unable to play as much basketball as I was planning. Thank you to the people that built this thing. I have never seen such a high quality product at reasonable price.

It feels like a net in a basketball gym. I wish I had one half this nice as a kid growing up. So very impressed with everything. Will enjoy for years and years. Money well spent!

I purchased the Megaslam 54'' with the upgraded hoop. It shipped quickly, and arrived in great condition. I opted to not use a contractor to install the goal, and while it's a lot of heavy lifting, the directions are fantastic so it's certainly doable. The goal and all of the ancillary components are clearly made with quality in mind. The main pole has welded end caps, and more support brackets at the base which will definitely increase it's durability. As a matter of fact last night the goal weathered Hurricane Zeta's 100mph winds with no problem. If you're going to spend the money on a higher end basketball goal that can't be found at the big box store, do your research, and buy a Megaslam.
