I originally purchased the 60”, but the next day upgraded to the 72” and I have no regrets. The system is solid and easy to assemble. I had reached out for a professional installer recommended by Mega slam, but after agreeing on price, several attempts to reach the installer went unanswered a day before and after the package arrived. Not sure what happened on the installers end, so I had to install the hoop on my own. The delivery driver delivers in a tractor trailer, so make sure he can deliver to your house. I used 18 bags of 80lbs of concrete. The backboard took 4 capable adults and still wasn’t easy to install, but once it’s on and your playing, it’s worth every bit of the money spent. Highly recommend it.

My neighbour have used Megaslam for years, serious user, three kids plays everyday. I place an order with Pandemic discount, and CJS installation is fast, took 3days to get all done. Highly recommand!

I’ve been in need of a new goal for several months because our old one was destroyed by the Colorado weather. After several weeks of research I purchased the MEGASLAM 54. I would have preferred the 60” goal instead but it was out of stock. I’m glad I didn’t wait because the 54” is a great size and is more than enough for my teenage boys. From the time I ordered the goal I have been impressed with the company. I ordered the goal on the evening of 4/21 and it was delivered by UPS freight (18-wheeler) the morning of 4/29 (less than 8 days later halfway across the country). The delivery package is big and heavy (600 lbs) and comes on 1pallet. Fortunately my boys are strong and we have a moving dolly so we were able to break the pallet down at the curb and get it into the driveway fairly easily. Digging the hole and pouring the concrete were the hardest part but we followed the instructions and online videos provided by Megaslam and everything went smoothly. The project called for 20-22 80lb bags of concrete. I bought 23 just in case and used 22.5...so buy a little extra just in case. After the concrete set for 4 days, assembly of the goal was easy...but still heavy. Make sure you follow the instructions and watch the assembly videos on the Megaslam website and DO NOT TIGHTEN the bolts until instructed to do so. My next door neighbor and I used the “ladder method” suggested on the video to mount the backboard and it was a piece of cake. Total time to assemble the goal was less than 2 hours. The first thing I noticed when assembling the goal was the high quality. The 5 gauge steel used in the 1-piece pole told me I had made the right decision. All the welds are high quality, the holes all lined up, the pole ends are all sealed for water tightness, the paint is beautiful (touch up paint provided too) and the pole pads look great. This was not an inexpensive goal but I got what I paid for. It is solid. It does not sway when a shot is taken, a ball is slammed or the strong Colorado wind hits it. I didn’t buy it for the looks but several neighbors have commented on how nice it looks and asked where I bought it. My only question is how well the pole pads will hold up in the brutal Colorado elements....so more to come.
