I bought this a year ago. I did a lot of research. It's not easy, there's a lot of marketing hype out there. Finally made the call on MegaSlam (the video from a guy comparing it to ProDunk helped a lot.) I found the video on YouTube at the time, now they have the video on their site. (smart). It shipped very quickly relatively speaking. Instructions are much better than you'd expect, could use a few tweaks, but I was satisfied. Packaging was nice. About what you'd expect difficulty wise to install. You'll need a few strong friends for an hour to set the pole, and to put the backboard on. Very nice construction. They didn't cut corners (I hate it when I get a product, and then notice all the cheap-outs). This was opposite, solid, good attention to details. slightly overbuilt for the need. which is great. It looks great. It works great. My High School son is pretty hard on it, 15 years old, 6"2' and can slam. He and his friends have really enjoyed it. They lower it sometimes and really go to town. Nice padding, has held up very well. Had to tighten the rim twice over the year. Used support twice for a couple questions. They were awesome. Just bought the light, that I'm installing now, will review later. So very happy with the purchase. Would definitely buy again. Expensive, but appropriate for the quality and lifestyle it's helped with.

Instructions and videos were perfect. Spend the money and buy this hoop.

I am very pleased with my Megaslam 72. I am 6'8" and pushing 225 and it is sturdy enough to take dunks and some slight hanging on the rim from me. Also love that it can lower all the way down to 5 feet for my 3 year old to shoot on. Just a very nice and well built basketball goal. Time will tell on longevity but just from looking at it and the materials used I don't see that being an issue.
