Called several different companies about their hoops, with MegaSlam a person always answered the phone and gave me all the info I could have asked for, and I’m pretty picky. Goal was on backorder when I placed my order and the time line I was given for delivery was spot on. Couldn’t have asked for more. Did the concrete and site prep myself, nothing too complicated there. Have to admit though, it was a lot easier using a Bobcat with an auger on it for my hole. Poured the column and pad together, installed the anchor system and waited three days. Unit was well packed and very heavy. No damage of any kind. Instructions we’re very well written and the hardware very well packed, almost impossible to mix anything up. Putting the main pile up wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, the backboard, however was the opposite. 1/2” glass is heavy! We put it in the back of my truck and managed to put blocks under each side to get it up high enough to mount to the arms. Overall installation time was only about 1.5-2 hours not counting concrete work. Shooting hoops that day and my kids haven’t stopped since then. High quality hoop, rebounds great, height adjustment easy as pie!!

I did extensive research on an inground basketball system for me and my family and boy did the Megaslam 72 really deliver and we are the envy of the neighborhood! We are so happy with the system and the NBA regulation backboard looks great in our 3 car driveway. So if you are hesitant of purchasing, pull the trigger, the system is far and beyond the competition. Fast and easy deliver process too.

If you're like me, you've researched a bevy of other hoop systems, hoping to find key details that highlight one system over another. I did that... for nearly 3 months before I decided on the XL. Frankly, I'd never heard of Megaslam previously; but, boy am I glad I decided to give it a try. From the moment it was delivered by UPS, I knew i had a winner. It's size is obnoxiously... well, obnoxiously XL-pun intended. And when the installers came, they simply reiterated what i had already figured out, there's nothing, at that price point, that's a big and solidily built. It took 3 highly experienced guys to install the goal and they continuously lauded the XL's impressive stature. They strained getting it together due exclusively to its weight and XL size. But the fun came afterwards, as neighbor after neighbor stopped by to ask how much and who makes it. I've had so many folk just marvel and a basketball goal. And trust me, I reside in a upscale neighborhood; so, my neighbors aren't easily impressed. Bottom line, if you want the best your money can buy, get the XL, you want regret it trust me! P.S. Now with all the good being stated, get ready to pay an installation cost that is heftier than most any other system. In the end, even the relatively high installation cost was understandable, given the laborious effort required to install this heavy (800lbs+) goal system.
